My Girlfriend Is A Gumiho

For those of you who don't know what a Gumiho is, it's a nine tailed fox who supposedly eats peoples livers. There are many different versions for this story in Korean myths and legends, so if I happen to find any type of information, I will let you know. :)

SUMMARY:
Cha Dae Woong(Lee Seung Gi) is a cowardly and extremely immature man who accidentally set free a nine-tail fox (Shin Min Ah) who was imprisoned for 500 years. The fox began to take the form of a beautiful woman who follows the man who set her free around, causing misunderstandings that she is his girlfriend. Although the man enjoys the attention and envy that people around him is giving, he is also always in extreme fear that the Gumiho may want to feed on his liver to become human. But when both of them falls for each other as time goes by, the Gumiho’s enemies appears causing an unexpected twist in their lives.

Main Cast
Lee Seung Ki as Cha Dae Woong (also in Brilliant Legacy or Shinning Inheritance)Shin Min Ah as Gu Mi Ho
Sung Dong Il as Jung Doo Hong
Hyo Min  as Jung Seon Nyun (T-ara member)
I greatly enjoy watching this drama, and I was even more excited to find out that an amazingly hot guy is in it. xD Plus a singer from the group T-ara is also part of the main cast, and not just a side character.
Another surprise that got to me was seeing familiar faces that I have seen in previous dramas. :) It's always nice to have that "OMG I KNOW THAT PERSON" thought. SInce I rarely get to see the celebrities over here, I go skippy-happy whenever I do see one. It's not a bad thing, I'm just excited. :P

SungKyunKwan Scandel

Nation’s highest educational institute and the oldest university in East Asia that has distinguished history of 500 years; it is Sung-kyun-kwan University. But if you are thinking of Sungkyunkwan as a boring study place, you underestimated it. It is the place full of vitality, where youthfulness is flowering, and the school where you learn to be harmonized! And there is a young Confucian scholar Kim Yoon-hui, who gets into this forbidden place for women, hiding her gender. Yoon-hui’s father, Kim Seung-hyun was a scholar at Sungkyunkwan and also a good friend of the Crown prince. King Yeongjo calls him before the day of his death and asks him to hand down his secret book Kum-deung-ji-sa across the generations. However, Kim Seung-hyun gets killed by the opposing faction and the book has disappeared. Yoon-hui was only 7-year-old when her father got murdered. Yoon-hui has a talent for writing, which had inherited from her father. She starts to stay at Sungkyunkwan and meets three good friends: Seon-joon, Jae-shin, Yong-ha. And Yoon-hui slowly gets fascinated by King Jeongjo’s vision and becomes to understand what her father truly dreamt of.

Can you guess my first reason for watching this? ---> Micky is in it. xD Hey, I'm just a fan supporting my fellow devotee.
And for a drama that takes place not in the 21st century, it is actually very entertaining. There are only 20 episodes total, and it has its comedic moments too.
I guess the only thing that frustrated me was the main girls character. Because I thought she was suppose to be seen as someone who cares for getting an education when in reality she is the type of person who wants to get things done and pass by things without catching any attention. Therefore leading to her not realizing the potential that she is not taking.
And it especially irritated me how Micky's character towards the end was being kind of a jerk. Why do Kdramas insist on the girl falling for the jerk? And the good guy always looses the girl.

This is something I have learned from watching many Korean dramas:

1.  If there is someone who is going to die or has already died, the reason for death is always cancer or some illness that has no treatment.

2.  The main girl always falls for the main jerk, and the main good guy is always left behind.

3.  At a restaurant, most of the time they are eating meat.

4.  If they're not drinking at a bar, they are most likely at a coffee shop drinking coffee.

5.  The character in agony goes to a alcohol bar (or any type of place that sells alcoholic drinks) by him or herself to 'ponder' about what just happened.

6.  When people get drunk, they almost always pour out their emotions to whoever is near, hick-up uncontrollably, and saved by the person they are attached to.

7.  When you are drunk, you are allowed to receive a piggyback ride from the person that cares about you.
8.  In frustration, a character will almost always end their sentences with something that roughly sounds like "aisssh".

9. If a character misunderstands something, they will never be told until the very end. And then they will feel guilty for not knowing.

The list can go on, but this is all I have for now. :) Meanwhile, enjoy these lovely pictures from the drama.

There are some actual members of the group who aren't in this variety show, but they done't seem very important to begin with..

The Birth Of The Rich

Genre: Drama, Romance, Comedy
Available Here for watching.
Please enjoy. ^^b

A lovely story of the higher class and those below them. Within the circle of a spoiled brat,
who only cares about having everything fabulous, including a man who's main ambition
is to increase his company's value even if it means blackmailing and stabbing, a daughter
of one of the richest card companies who is so cheap with money, and a man (Seok Bong) who believes he is the son of a chaebol (someone of great wealth and social status. usually a family that has kept the business within their family and use their family name), but finds out he has a life threatening disease but does not have the means to pay for treatment. A lot of things can happen.
I really like this drama, and it kind of revolves more around the small percentage of the high class in South Korea. Plus, it's very funny. I learned a few phrases from this drama.
Please enjoy. ^^

I really liked this drama, although it didn't catch my attetion at the first episode since I was watching another drama which I will mention later ^^, but it's very sweet and funny. And if you find watching a townboy girl trying to mask herself as a guy interesting, then what is better to watch than Coffee Prince? :D

Beginnings Of Summer

Sorry that I haven't posted anything in a while. School gets in the way....especially when you add homework due in every class + procrastination = one hell of a mess. xD I brought it up on myself anyways so I'm just dealing with it. I have no complaints. Well maybe if I actually did my homework on-time....that would make things work out better. Anyways, yes I do have some free time even through all this chaos. Actually, one of my close friends told me there's a drama for one of my fave mangas (that just happens to be one of his favorites too), so I'm watching that now. Marmalade Boy? Heard of it? ( aka 橘子醬男孩 / Ju Zi Jiang Nan Hai )
Released in 2002 with a taiwanese cast and a total of 30 episodes (i know! wow!!), it's mostly about family issues and how it brings these two together. ^^ I don't know if I'm actually enjoying the drama because I've already read the manga like 4 times already. I guess it's just fun to watch and see how the producers put the story together compared to the book. And you know, their names are translated so that's a little twist right there. A lame one but a twist nonetheless.
To watch Marmalade Boy click here .
Besides watching Marmalade Boy, I've started watching this new drama called Personal Taste. Other websites have it under 'Personal Preference', but it's the same thing anyway. I've tried to get my friend to watch it, but I guess he just doesn't like pretty boys in general.... T.T   The drama is really good too! TT_TT It even has the main actor from another kdrama called Boys Before Flowers.
Personally I prefer the japanese drama, simply because it's a lot closer to the story from the manga and I don't like how the korean version because makes it seem like these jerks that run the school really are cruel with nothing else to do except bully people. I don't know, to me they just make the situation a little bit too extreme for me.
[ For Hana Yori Dango watch here: 1st Season2nd SeasonFinal Movie. For korean version 'Boys Over Flowers' watch here. ]
But back to what I was originally talking about!!!! Personal Taste released in 2010; broadcasted on MBC as we SPEAK, it's about a guy, Jeon Ji Hon, who pretends to be gay in order to stay at the SangGaelJae. Meanwhile, the owner has a habbit for sloppiness, and not being the most flashy girl.
I guess you just have to see the drama to know the other details of the story. Basically the first episode starts out like this= girl has a girl roommate. girl finds out her roommate is about to marry her boyfriend who's also ends up breaking up with her. girl finds out her best friend took a BUNCH of money from her to invest in what he thought was a good deal, but ends up being swindled by gangsters, and runs away. What is this girl to do with a broken heart and an empty bank account? To watch Personal Taste, click here.

In The Process of Making My Decision A Fact!

As of now, I'm not sure what I'm going to watch next
since the time before spring break [in college] tends to
be very busy, and I really need to get my math grade up.
Otherwise, I'll be forced to leave the class....not good!
And, from this thursday [mokuyoubi] I will start taking
Japanese classes in Chicago city. So much for that extra time. :P
But oh well, it's worth it.

I was thinking about watching something like:
Kami no Shizuku with one of my so-so favorite actors,
but I'm still not sure. I'm on the last episode of Pasta so
I don't know if i want to watch another one about food.

But who knows right? Oh, and btw. For all the girls out
there who like Pasta, you'll definitely like episode 13. :P
The guys take their shirts off!

In other news, I had watched Nobuta wo Produce.

 It's actually really exciting,
since I found myself in a similar position. [Just found out
that one of my friends likes me.]

 It's such a sweet
story, and I fell into a crush with one of the actors again. ;)
My story? Right now I'm going out with someone, but
recently got really pissed and many things that he did. I told
him about it too, but he doesn't seem to understand my
viewpoint of it. But let me take you waaayyyy back!
Before I even asked him out the first time, I was hesitant
about it because I was kinda crushing on someone else at
the same time [though I got the vibe that this person just
wanted me as a friend], so that's how I made my decision
to go out with the one I am currently with. But now, that
situation has changed. This is the second time that I am going
out with this person. I don't know why I asked him out again,
because since the beginning I just wanted to be friends.
But anyways, so the person I had mentioned earlier just
happens to be my friend now who I just found out likes me?
Maybe I heard wrong....but it would have been nice if he
told me that LONG before all this crap happened.
But don't get me wrong. :P
He asked me if he was just a nice guy like in the video,
and I told him that there is potential for him to jump to
the other latter.

Want to know what video he was talking about?
Here it is! Blam! [lol, i know. I'm a nerd]

These guys are really talented, so please give them
a try. :)
