Anima and Nausicaa

Recently,
I made account on a certain manga website.
1) you can keep bookmarks on what you read.
Before this, I kept adding more page tabs on my toolbar which then,
it's overwhelming when you read a manga almost every day.

2) You can organize the ones you are currently reading,
from the ones you WILL read in the future.
Now I find myself reading more.
So I wanted to talk about two that I have finished reading.

+Anima プラスアニマ
Genre: Action, Adventure, Fantasy, Comedy
Mangaka: Mukai Natsumi
Released: January 2001-2005

In this world, people have anima; powers of animals (bear, bat, fish, etc) marked by a tattoo. Cooro, Husky, Senri, and Nana are our main characters, traveling to different places and encountering new understandings about themselves and others, meeting others who have anima and don't have anima.
Basically, we follow them and learn how people become an anima, and the personal background stories of our main characters. Most main characters are children.
I liked it because it kept me interested in the story line and finding out about things. I loved the characters, and the different places where events happen. I wished it was longer. ^^

Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind 風の谷のナウシカ
Genre: Fantasy, Adventure, Drama, Sci-Fi,
Mangaka: Miyazaki Hayao
Released: 1982-1994
This was also released as a movie in 1984 as part of the Studio Ghibli,
which is also popular for the movies Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totoro, Ponyo,
Grave of the Fireflies (personally I have only seen the live-action movie so far), Princess Mononoke, The Cat Returns, Howl's Moving Castle,
and recently The Secret World of Arrietty.
Despite how old this manga may be, I still really enjoyed it. It feels like the audience is older than Miyazaki's usual 6year old group, yet still keeping that youthful viewpoint through most of the characters in this story. The world is like this: dangerous to live in, gigantic bugs, and a forest that eats up everything and creates a sort of "pollen" in the process that is very dangerous to breathe in. Nausicaa is a townboy princess who has a love for life and all animals. A huge war had happened and now they live with the environmental costs.
It really gives you a new perspective on environmental issues, and I would certainly use this as part of the world that we live in today.

The Wild Thornberrys

Before you jump on your seat,
I want to explain myself.
In a sense, this is not an anime that
comes from Japan.
The word anime is short for
animation,
and this is an animation (from us).

I love this series, and hopefully
there will be many out there who
know or remember it.

So far I am watching the 1st
season on Netflix, but here are some
other places you can get some
episodes at.

Hyo Yeon as herself (cameo, ep7)
Choi Soo Young as herself (cameo, ep7)

What I am watching now...I figured I would keep watching "Take Care Of the Young Lady" after this one since it felt a little weird to watch a guy in his mid/late 30's in a sort of 'relationship' with a girl that looks like she's only 20. In real life, she's about 25 or something, but still.....felt a little odd. So I'm watching this one for now, and heck, who doesn't like to see a pretty face from Super Junior?
Atleast, I think he's handsome...

Take Care of the Young Lady

Title: 아가씨를 부탁해 / Agassireul Pputakae / Take Care of Agassi / Take Care of My Lady / My Fair Lady / 레이디 캐슬 / Lady Castle
Genre: Comedy, Romance
Total Episodes: 16
Release Date: August 2009
Main Cast:
Yoon Eun Hye as Kang Hye Na (24)
Yoon Sang Hyun as Seo Dong Chan (32)
Jung Il Woo as Lee Tae Yoon (27)
Moon Chae Won as Yeo Eui Joo (24)

Some of these actors have also been featured in dramas such as: The 1st Shop of Coffee Prince, Goong, Brilliant Legacy or also known as Shinning Legacy, The Vineyard Man, Sunday Seoul (Kmovie), Queen of Housewives, Secret Garden, The Secret of Keu Keu Island, High Kick Through The Roof, The Return of Iljimae, and many more.
After watching the Style, I started to like the story but the ending felt a bit rushed? or just not an actual ending that ensures that no other Style will be made. There is a posibillity for another one to be made, just like other dramas and movies as well. Now I move on to my next watch, Take Care of the Young Lady. I figured with Yoon Eun Hye casted as the main role, this drama can either be very good or extremely bad. But as I progressed through the story thus far, I can confidentally say that the producers were up to something. I will be happy to say that this is another drama where I will keep watch of the story to unfold. A clash between the rich and poor, many things can happen. ^^
