Smart.fm

An awesome site for learning Japanese. It also has some other languages too!(See also: Livemocha and Human Japanese)

First, you have to register (don't worry, its free), and the site gives you directions on what to do. What's neat is when you take a lesson, it records how long you have been studying, gives you suggestions on what to study more, etc.

I have just started it myself to see how it goes and so I can have extra practice. So see if you like it. ^^ ~~ Click on title for website ~~

What Crazy Things

Just came back from Disney World (in america [Florida], although I wouldn't mind seeing it in Japan or Hong Kong either), and what things I saw.
First of all, and I just want to get this out of the way, I have never seen so many overweight Americans in the same place and time. And that includes those who were on those motor scooters just because they are plain lazy. Yeah, there were those people that need them, but compared to the number of lazy people, the physically challenged were a small number. And the number of wild and uncontroled kids...augh they made me mad at times, but I decided to let it go. They were not my problem. With this, it really made me think the image other people have of americans. Wether it is good or bad...
Overall, it was a good graduation present. My favorite worlds were Magic Kingdom and Epcot! We visited Magic Kingdom the first day, because we knew there were going to be A LOT of little kids there, and father's day was coming soon. But it was soo much to see. Even if you are a bit grown up (like me) to see some of the attractions, they are worth it. Disney has some really cool robotics and makeup. "It's A Small World" Ride is one you can't miss out on. Plus not that bad was the wait. [I even saw this really hot, and tall, asian guy there. I was too shy to say anything though...>_> I hate that about myself. Sadly, I never saw him again.] Magic Kingdom was the first world to be made, so most of their attractions are classics.
Epcot! Now that one we made a second visit to see. 1: because we didn't have enough time to buy the things we wanted. 2: we had to go on a different day because some of the shows they have are not all available on EVERYDAY. 3: people from the actual country work there. 4: it's just plain awesome!!!!
I think I stayed at China, and Japan the most. Lol, and I got to practice some Japanese in the Japan part. Although, they didn't have a restaurant that wasn't too serious so we didn't try the food there, so we spent most of our time watching the shows outside and being inside the store. In China, we mostly saw the shows on the second day, and bought the things we wanted. And on the first day, we mostly ate some food because we were hungry (me and my mom LOVE asian food so it wasn't a problem) and then looked at everything inside the store. We even got to talk to some of the people that work there. The lady was so nice. Although, the other girl there, her english i didn't understand very well, so the other one just translated for her. Overall, we did a lot in Epcot, and would be a good place to come back in 3 or 5 years to see if they have new shows.
I am so glad that I have come back though. I was dying of not watching "We Got Married" (korean reality tv show) and "Someday's Sorcerer" (anime). Plus, in America they just started this show called 'I Survived A Japanese Game Show'. It's actually pretty intriguing because its a show within a show (Majide/まじで), and one lucky american gets to win a quarter of a million dollars and say '' i survived it''. And in the mean time, they have to play wacky games too. Pretty neat! I would tell you to watcho this if you like watching competitive yet hilarious game shows. You can easily find it in youtube.com .

Kimi Wa Petto

Kimi Wa Petto

Also Known As:きみはペット / You're My Pet / Tramps Like Us

Release: April 2003

I just had to put this one out there. My friend just finished watching this one, and she loved it as much as I did. It's such a cute story. And it's a manga too. ^^ If you read the manga before watching the drama, there are settle differences but they are both good.

It's all about this woman named Iwaya Sumire who comes home from a tough day at work, to find a guy passed out in a cardboard box outside her apartment complex. (Played by the awesome Matsumoto Jun o^_^o.) Having no place to stay, she lets him stay at her place on one condition: he has to be her pet. And if you're thinking this is some weird porno or that type of sexual relationship, it isn't. It's really innocent when it comes to these two. Especially since Sumiresan tends to be a bit oblivious with her own feelings. (not a big surprise with j-dramas >_>)

Plus, it's not that long compared to some Korean dramas that last 30 to 40 something episodes. And if you want a laugh, きみはペット is great for that too. ^^ This is definitely one I wouldn't mind watching a 3rd time. Lol.

WOOOW!!!

OMG OMG OMG OMG!!!!!!

I passed the math test! I got a total of 56 out of 58!!!!!!!!!!!! 56/58 is two pts away but c'mon! Now i can take a high level math and pay less for it! HA!

And in a few hours im off to disney world! I am really looking forward to Epcot and Animal Kingdom. I heard they had food samples from other countries in Epcot including Japan. o(*v*)0 How great is that? And I saw that they have US there too....that's just a waste of space. I mean who wants to see a stand of their own country inside their own country?!?! Kinda boring...but there's not much I can do about that. -_-

After this, I know i'll have a LOT of mail. And I have to deal with my neighbors too. =_= We got a letter saying we were violating one of the regulations that says no advertising, and blaming us for the flag hanging on my window because of that...How ridiculous! That doesn't even apply. Yet they don't complain about the flag that our other neighbor has. If they blame me, it should apply to everyone. It's only fair. But that's for later! I'm off to packing! :D

Goodbye 'We Got Married' for a week. TT_TT

Love * com (Lovely Complex)

Lovely Complex

Alternative Title: Love Com
Release Date: 2006
Genre: Romance/Comedy

A fun story (based on the manga Love Com by: Aya Nakahara) about two high school students Risa Koizumi (who is the tallest girl in class) and Atsushi Ôtani (the midget man). With Risa's height it's hard to find a boyfriend to look eye to eye, and the last thing she wants is a person like Atsushi next to her. Fate and their friends put them together making a hilarious couple. But as their friendship grows, so does Risa's feelings.

I read the first manga volume for this before I saw the movie, and it definitely has more to it, but it doesn't ruin the movie. Yea the manga has more details and it explains a bit more of the characters feelings and thoughts, but this type of argument is endless. That whole "which one was better, the book or the movie?" conversation, I'm not going to go into.

Gaahh...

Math placement test was ok...I was one point away from taking a higher level class. So I'll take the test again next saturday. To my surprise, it really was not that hard. I looked at my mistakes, and they were just stupid little ones that I easily overlooked. So now I'm practicing on my own and using a website called www.mathtv.com. It gives videos on a step-by-step process, and covers algebra to calculus. Pretty helpful.
The only thing that really sucks is this: i got the flu =_=-->the normal one, and my friends fairwell party is tomorrowTT_TT. So being sick is a problem on its own, and seeing my Romanian friend (Edi) for the last time is another priority. He's a foreign exchange student and leaving after tomorrow. I asked permission to go and it's fine as long as I keep studying the next day.^^
